✨For the Love of Clove
My love affair with clove began over twenty years ago.
Back then, I was deep in research for my Super Natural Serum—aka No Tox Bo Tox. I was working inside the Hollywood beauty industrial complex, watching Botox and filler become the norm. And of course, my inner knowing—strong as it is—kept whispering, this cannot be good for the body.
From day one, I’ve been on the path of creating true organic alternatives to Big Pharma.
I approached skincare from a very different angle than most. I wasn’t only thinking about graceful ageing. I was thinking about muscles… healthy skin… the subtle tension patterns that etch expression into the face—and how to bring a radiant relaxation to both face, body and the mind. I was thinking about the nervous system. I was thinking about the skin as a living vehicle—an intelligent gateway—able to receive botanical medicine and relay a message to the whole body: soften, unclench, come home.
My mad alchemist brain was in overdrive.
And that’s when clove presented itself.
The deeper I dug, the more its multitasking nature captivated me. When I formulate, I like to truly meet an herb—almost like a one-on-one conversation—working with it as a single note first, long enough to understand its personality, its signature, its “yes” and its “no.” So of course, I became very well acquainted with clove.
Using the essential oil became a literal love affair. I also sought out the most pure, effective clove oil I could find—a double-distilled clove from Madagascar—because that extra refinement brings forward the most beautiful, potent, and effective clove I’ve ever worked with.
Its ability to calm and soothe my nerves was immediate—warm, enveloping, deeply comforting. It relaxed my solar plexus in a way that felt almost primal… like a guarded inner door gently unlocking. And in that relaxation, my heart could finally exhale soften and release . My system could finally feel safe enough to open. And my skin—well… the acne I’d been struggling with since my teens was finally gone. My complexion looked velvety and plump, my jaw softened, and for the first time in my forty-something years of living i had absoultly no acne on my face , I was truly in love with my skin.
And now, suddenly, clove is having a moment. Everyone’s talking about eating clove, clove water, clove this, clove that—like it’s brand new. I’m smiling over here, because for me, clove isn’t a trend. It’s an old ally. A steady companion. A plant I’ve worked with long enough to respect its power—and to understand that a little can go a long way.
What I love most is that clove doesn’t show up as a one-trick pony. It’s warming, protective, clarifying, and surprisingly broad in its applications. It has a presence—almost like a guardian herb—supporting the body on multiple levels when used with skill, restraint, and reverence.
What I came to understand about its multi-faceted function is this: clove is one of those rare herbs that can be deeply anti-aging and deeply anti-acne. It doesn’t force the skin in one direction. It brings the terrain back into balance.
Clove is warming and circulatory—it gently encourages blood flow, and with it, that subtle flush of life that helps the skin look more awake, more luminous, more inhabited. Warmth, when used wisely, is not irritation… it’s vitality.
It’s also clarifying and purifying. Clove has long been loved for its relationship to cleanliness—think mouth, breath, and the spaces where bacteria and parasites like to throw a party. On the skin, that translates into a kind of protective boundary energy—supporting a clearer surface, less congestion, and a more refined feeling to the pores when it’s used in the right amount and the right context.
And then there’s the part that makes me swoon a little: clove has this firming, smoothing intelligence. Not in a synthetic “freeze the face” way… but in a botanical way. Like it whispers to the tissues: soften the grip… release the over-holding… come back into harmony.
Clove is also deeply comforting to the nervous system—and this matters more than most people realize. Skin is not separate from stress. When the nervous system is on high alert, the face tells the truth: tighter jaw, furrowed brow, constricted breath, shallow sleep, dullness, dehydration, inflammation. Clove’s warmth can feel like a signal of safety… and when the body feels safe, the face softens.
So yes—clove supports the “beauty story”… but it does it through the “whole-being story.” It’s circulation. It’s clarity. It’s protection. It’s soothing. It’s that ancient, spicy guardian that doesn’t just make the skin look better—it helps the system come back into balance.
And because it’s powerful, it’s one I always approach with respect. Clove doesn’t need to be loud to be effective. In fact, the magic is often in the smallest amount—strategically placed—so it can do what it does best without overwhelming the skin.
And that brings me to how I work with clove inside the Narayan Beauty ritual temple:
The Clove Ritual Path
🌙Super Natural — the original “No Tox Bo Tox” (20 years of devotion)✨
This is where my clove story really began. Super Natural is the backbone—my classic formula in a creamy base of aloe and nourishing oils, blended with essential oils of clove, chamomile, and sweet fennel. It was created around the idea that beauty isn’t about fighting the face… it’s about softening tension, feeding the skin, and supporting the nervous system so the radiance can return.
🌙 Super Moon Face Oil — a nightly ritual with CBD
Super Moon is for the evening hours, when the body is ready to release the day. This is the “come back to yourself” oil—the one that turns your nighttime routine into a true ritual.
Chamomile brings a gentle, maternal calm to the nervous system, while CBD supports the deeper exhale—helping ease tension, quiet inflammation, and soften you into rest. Warm a few drops between your palms, breathe it in, and anoint face, neck, and shoulders before bed.
🕊️ Love is Light Face Oil — seed oils rich in ACE + a swoon-worthy botanical embrace Love is Light is nourishment with elegance—vitamin-rich seed oils to aid in the body in producing more collagen. Paired with an essential oil blend that feels like your nervous system is being held. Lavender and geranium bring that soft, heart-centered “everything is okay” frequency.
💎 Crystal Clarity — scrubbing masque for clarity + resurfacing
Sometimes the skin doesn’t need more product—sometimes it needs a reset as i have said for many years " you can not bring dead dry skin back to life "it needs to be exfoliated ". Crystal Clarity is the polish + purge in one: clarifying, refining, and resurfacing in a way that helps the skin breathe again.
🌙Super Moon Body Oil — for pain, inflammation, and deep rest
Because your face is not separate from your body. When inflammation is high and rest is low, the skin reflects it—tightness in the jaw, dullness in the complexion, that “wired but tired” feeling living in the tissues.
This is where clove becomes your ally, not as a loud ingredient, but as a warming, comforting companion—supporting circulation, helping the body feel more open, and inviting the nervous system to downshift. Super Moon Body Oil is the body ritual that supports comfort, recovery, and sleep—especially when your system needs a warm landing and a deeper exhale.
If Clove is calling you, I want you to know this, there are two blends where clove is the hero: Love is Light and Super Natural—both held in my Ormus Gold Parfumes, like liquid prayer for the skin.
🌙Super Natural is clove, chamomile, and sweet fennel in their warm, sensual embodiment—earth medicine and nervous-system medicine in one. It’s the “soften and exhale” frequency… the blend that helps unwind the grip the face can hold when life has you braced. Clove brings that deep, spicy warmth and protective strength. Chamomile carries the calm—quieting irritation, easing the edges, and inviting the tissues to relax. Sweet fennel adds a subtle, sweet lift—bringing breath, softness, and a gentle sense of renewal. Together, they feel like a warm hand on the solar plexus, reminding the body it’s safe to release.
🕊️ Love is Light is clove kissed by the heart—gentler, brighter, more celestial… heaven and earth braided together. Here, clove is still the ally, but it’s wrapped in devotion. Lavender and geranium bring that tender, heart-centered “everything is okay” frequency—soothing the nervous system while also blessing the skin with a kind of luminous ease. It’s the blend you reach for when you want to glow, soften, and return to yourself—when beauty feels less like a goal and more like a state of being held.
Same ally. Different song.
Choose the one your body recognizes.
