The Heart Is Your Truth Holder

There is a moment — you've felt it — when something someone says lands wrong. Not intellectually wrong. Wrong in the gut. In the chest. In the sudden tightening behind the eyes.

That is your heart speaking.

We have been trained, systematically and relentlessly, to override this signal. To defer to credentials, to consensus, to whoever speaks the loudest or holds the most institutional authority. We call it critical thinking. But often it is simply the slow replacement of inner knowing with outer permission.

Plants don't do this. A root will not grow toward poison just because it was told to. It knows. The intelligence is built in, ancient, reliable — not because it was taught, but because it was never untaught.

The same capacity lives in you. And if you've known me for a while, you know where I return, again and again, as my guiding compass — the sacred space of the heart.

Not the heart as metaphor. Not sentiment. The actual interior landscape of the chest — a space within the body that, when accessed correctly, functions as something far older and more precise than the thinking mind. It is the record keeper of your soul. It holds your history, your contracts, your deepest knowing. And I believe — I have come to know — that it can hold something even larger than a personal story. It can hold the story of this magnificent planet Earth herself.

We are here now. We have arrived at a moment most of us can feel even when we struggle to name it. Incredible amounts of information are coming to the light of day — things long buried, long hidden, long denied. Some of it is ugly. Some of it may be exactly what it appears to be. And some of it may not be true at all.

This is the disorienting part. The flood doesn't come labeled. It arrives all at once — revelation and rumor, liberation and manipulation, side by side, dressed in the same urgency.

This is precisely why the sacred space of the heart matters now more than it ever has.

Truth tends to be quiet. It doesn't need to perform. It doesn't need your agreement or your applause. When you bring a piece of information — any piece — into that interior space and you get still enough to feel it, the body will tell you. Not immediately, always. Not loudly. But it will tell you. It knows the difference between what resonates and what merely excites. Between what is real and what is designed to pull you.

The quickest way to know a truth is to run it through your heart.

It is simpler than you think. The breath is the key — it is what activates this space. Here is how I do it.

Begin by bringing all of your attention to your breath. Don't change it yet — just feel it. Listen to it. Follow it with your mind's eye and give your full attention to its depth, its rhythm, its quiet intelligence.

Now bring your awareness to a point two inches to the left of your heart chakra. Breathe as though you have a nostril right there on that spot. Inhale into it. Exhale out through the front of that same place — two inches left of center. Long, gentle, deep. Let this become your breath for a few moments.

Now reach down. Connect to Mother Earth beneath you. Breathe her up into your body — her steadiness, her patience, her ancient knowing. A few long inhales and exhales, drawing her field into yours.

Then reach up. Open to Father Cosmos above you. Breathe him down into your body — the vast, the luminous, the infinite. A few long inhales and exhales, letting that light move through you.

And now return. Bring your attention back to that heart space, two inches left of center. Inhale. Exhale. Settle there.

Now bring in your query. Not as a demand. Not with urgency. Simply place it — gently, like setting something down — and wait.

The answer may come as an image. A simple yes or no. A voice — your own — arriving with quiet certainty. A feeling that moves through you like recognition. Or it may come later, as a synchronicity, a conversation, something that catches your eye at exactly the right moment.

Sometimes immediately. Sometimes in due time. Trust both.

Your heart has been keeping record since before you had language for any of this. It does not require you to be ready, or healed, or certain. It only requires your attention.

Return to it. Especially now. Especially with everything that is coming to the light.

The heart is your truth holder. It always has been.
