Oil of Tobacco is a whole-plant remedy, made the old way. Wild tobacco, Nicotiana rustica, is the sacred mapacho honored by Indigenous healers of the Americas for generations. It’s steeped slowly in oil, then blended with organic cold-pressed castor oil and OrmusGold. The result is warm, earthy and grounding, a botanical oil to apply right where it’s needed or to use as the heart of a castor oil pack.

Whole plant, not an isolate
Patches, gums and vapes deliver one isolated compound, often synthetic. Oil of Tobacco carries the whole leaf: its full family of alkaloids, along with the plant’s other natural compounds, working together the way nature made them. That’s the difference between an isolate and a plant. In my experience, the whole plant works steadily and gently, not as a jolt, and it’s deeply effective.

DESCRIPTION

Ritual of use

  • Where needed: warm a few drops between your palms and massage into a small area, such as the belly, a knee, a shoulder or the low back.

  • As a castor oil pack: smooth a thin layer over the area, cover with a soft flannel, and rest for 20 to 30 minutes. Let the oil do its quiet work.

  • Wash your hands when you’re done.

Wild Tobacco (Nicotiana rustica)

Known as mapacho, wild tobacco is the strongest of the tobaccos and one of the oldest plant medicines of the Americas. Indigenous healers have honored it for generations as a sacred plant, used in ceremony and laid on the body as a poultice. Ours comes from a small family farm in the Appalachian mountains, grown with care and harvested by hand, then steeped slowly in oil so you receive the whole leaf’s full spectrum.

Organic MCT Oil

MCT is a light, clear oil drawn from coconut, and it’s the oil the tobacco leaf is steeped in. It carries the plant’s richness without weighing it down, and it sinks into the skin with ease. It’s naturally stable too, so it keeps the infusion fresh and potent.

Organic Cold-Pressed Castor Oil (Ricinus communis)

Castor oil is the classic oil of the castor pack, a body-tending ritual passed down through generations of folk healers. It’s thick, rich and deeply softening, and it’s naturally high in ricinoleic acid, a fatty acid found almost nowhere else in nature. Cold-pressed and organic, it gives the oil its depth and staying power on the skin.
